Challenge: I was asked by the owners to see what improvements could be introduced into their backyard, as well as attempt to mitigate traffic noise from their street.

Solution: we were able to greatly increase the usable size of their backyard by moving the fence line and picking up under utilized space. In doing so we were also able to incorporate sound dampening panels into the fence itself. We also expanded the garden planting space, wrapping it further around the yard to introduce more nature and color. Finally, our biggest change was the installation of a waterfall into the garden, which added motion and interest, as well as helping to mask the street noise.
