Challenge : To cost effectively remake the clients backyard, while introducing natural elements to help counterbalance a hardscape heavy space.

Solution: A large crescent shaped berm was built up and planted with draught tolerant plantings nestled among boulders. This introduced an abundance of nature and color into the backyard, while still being sustainable. The berm also produced a sheltering effect which surrounded and embraced the entire pool deck and seating areas.
